Before you set up your social media sites, get a website with a blog and a newsletter program, professional picture of yourself and your company and define the about section with keywords on your niche.

- If you are creating your page visit www.facebook.com/pages/create.php
- Complete the steps for setup and use your About file to post your information, this will stay the same throughout the sites and add a website link to your site.
- Upload your profile picture, you can change this when you have a new photo of yourself or new logo. Make sure that your profile picture description is completed and that you have your website link.
- Create photo albums, ie. business contacts, products, sales, missions
- Select your name wisely, you will attempt to use this throughout your social media sites.
- Keywords are important and can be researched on google to find relevant words to support your niche. www.googlekeywordtool.com
- Add Notes to your page under apps, connect your RSS feed from your blog. Use www.networkedblogs.com
- Like other Facebook pages from your page.
- Post relevant, educational, and entertaining content that provides value.
- Be consistent with posting.
- Shorter posts can be more powerful, lists, favorite quotes, supportive articles, special days or celebrations. The numbers 5,7, and 9 are what captures peoples attention in headlines.
- Your post should be like a Title, imagine it like a magazine cover, see what they say and get ideas of your own.
- Do a search on Facebook for areas of interest and see what they are posting about. Post on their wall and tag your fan page after what you say. Example - I love your picture. - @Jenstarmedia
